T. Truman Capone was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Humanities from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Graphic Communications from Virginia Tech and his Masters of Fine Art from Radford University. Capone currently resides in Blacksburg, Virginia. His professional career includes the following: Director and Professor of Art & Visual Communication Design, Medical Illustrator & Graphic Designer, and Metalsmith & Sculptor.

His artwork appears in juried and invitational exhibitions, both nationally and internationally. He has exhibited in over 97 exhibitions in which his artwork has won awards in the LINEA Contemporary Gallery in Florence Italy and with the National Collage Society. His current mixed media creations merge both traditional and digital media. Truman’s aesthetics catalyzes emotional, historical, spiritual, and mythical elements, while rendering dimensions of color, geometry with emotive atmospheric connotations.
